Fall is coming...

I always thought that Minnesota weather was crazy... but Finland is even more crazy.  One moment you're basking in the sun, and the next moment you're dodging raindrops.

Week One

Hmmm... already so much in my first week here. Mari was my lovely tour guide in Helsinki. We played volleyball and swam in the ocean. Then in the morning after our delicious coffee and chocolate we went to the downtown.

There is Finnish and Swedish everywhere... I was also surprised at how much English there is!

Charming I tell you!! There are cobblestone streets and amazing architecture everywhere!

Here can feel the salty mist from the ocean..

A couple more from the mökki...

We went to visit some relatives (Luhtaniemi's) near Helsinki where we went for walk with the sheep!

Then next to Porvoo (the second oldest city I believe). So pretty!

 

And then back to the cabin.. We got five fish in the net, so we had smoked fish and salad for lunch!
