Las Palmas, the capital city of Gran Canaria.

Calle de Colon.. this street is named after Christopher Columbus, as the Canary islands were used for a chance to restock and rest up for the journey to America.

 

I fell in love with the vast variety and rich colors on the rocky shores.. 

Farewell Canaria... it was nice to know you.

 Our first week was full of  beach excursions, swimming, playing in the waves...

 

 

Soaking up the sun and running in the dunes..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 We attended Finnish Christmas Eve services in this beautiful temple. Then we went back to the bungalow for dinner and dessert.

 

 

 

 

 

Definitely a different Christmas... it was so warm and sunny!

Blue.. blue.. blue..

We ate more than our fair share of ice cream. Whoops :)
