These here are the Swiss Alps, but the range that you can faintly see on the horizon is just over the border in Italy!

So our original plan was to hike up to the 'wildbad' (some hot springs), but we found these not to happy campers in our way. The trail went right through the pasture! We weren't sure if we dared to go through... so we went a little ways back down where we ran into a local who suggested (and laughed at the dumb tourists) that we don't even try, the path was pretty much all mud!

Instead we explored around a few different small villages on the mountainsides. Much to our surprise this church was open!

We stopped for dinner at this restaurant and much to our surprise it was Finnish owned! They were super nice and friendly! We ate traditional schnitzel, which is deep friend and breaded pork.

It was an oh so beautiful trip!
